"To Motivate Young People To Be Better Citizens"
Hello and welcome to the Lake Highlands High School Wildcat Battalion homepage! Established as a JROTC program in 2019, we have been hard at work to get this program up and running. This program is a great way for students to learn and express leadership skills. Taking this class does not mean you are making a commitment to the United States Military. There is no obligation for any of our cadets to enlist. We teach our students how to do many things that will come in very handy for their future. For example, we have multiple special teams such as Raider team, Color Guard, Drill and Ceremony, Rifle Team, Saber Team, and many more. This program is meant to motivate young students to step up and show leadership. We use similar ranks and organization as the U.S. Army. Each of our class periods are organized as platoons and each platoon is divided into squads with a squad leader for each. The events we attend and the general layout of our program is student based. Our program is almost completely in the hands of our staff. They each have their specific jobs which is used to distribute the responsibilities of the program. If you have any questions regarding special teams or anything else, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to help.
